Reflective Essay 10

In this creative writing class, I got a lot of valuable knowledge given by Mom Rahmah. It was not only the knowledge regarding routine learning, but also the motivation that was conveyed to have a positive impact on my confidence in writing. Actually I was a little worried because I only finished 50 percent of the final assignments, namely making biography book. Moreover, the data I collected have not completed yet to enrich the information in the book that I am writing.

In making this book, the character I chose was my closest person, my mother. I chose her because I wanted to write a short story about my mother's life in a book. This is also reinforced by the ease of obtaining information when writing about mothers. At first I did not plan to look for a figure with a high education background or someone who has a lot of academic achievements. I was more interested in looking for a figure that was struggling to find religion or memorizing the Al-Qur’an in the midst of limitations. However, to the specified extent I did not find the character. On consideration of the advice of Miss Widya, I decided to write a biography of my own mother.
